What is Forest Bathing?
We can be in nature. We can also be with nature. Forest bathing offers the opportunity to be with nature. Also called guided forest therapy, the practice is intended to open our senses and move from our fast-thinking heads to a slower, mindful connection that engages our feeling, being hearts.
Forest bathing creates space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your inner self. The practice encourages mindfulness, awakens creativity, and fosters a sense of belonging within the natural world.
Approximately two hours in duration, a guided forest walk covers about 1 mile or less. During the walk, Shannon serves as a guide who offers invitations, or opportunities to engage with nature. There are three stops for three unique invitations to your senses. After each invitation, an open time of sharing is provided.
